April and May Outreach

Seamen’s Church Institute Mission Statement: “The Seamen’s Church Institute of Philadelphia and South Jersey has a mission to serve proactively without prejudice the human needs of seafarers and the maritime community of the Delaware River.”

The Youth Group’s second quarter project is to collect and then bag items for SCI’s Ditty Bag Project. The items we are collecting include: HATS AND SCARVES IN DARK COLORS, WORK SOCKS AND WORK GLOVES, CHAPSTICK, NAIL CLIPPERS, RAZORS, SHAVING CREAM, PLAYING CARDS, HAND LOTION, TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHPASTE, DEODORANT, SHAMPOO, COMB, PEN AND WRITING PAPER, MINI SEWING KIT, HARD OF BOXED CANDY, GUM AND COUGH DROPS.

Items can be placed in the gray bin outside the parish hall.
